The Medicine and Surgery Degree, that someone gets when finishing the career, gives the legal power to do any medical process or surgery. But some of the Medicine fields and surgery require this post degree. The licensed person has a diploma of professional in Plastic Surgery when finishing his studies. It is important to know that Colombian Plastic Surgery Society exists, that is in charge of making valid and give recognition to the professionals on this field. Patients must have a clear and real idea of cosmetic surgery, its limitations and risks, and make their own decisions. The cosmetic surgeries are conditioned to the professional’s skills and experience and the healing and cicatrisation of the patients. It can be difficulties as in any surgery or ancosmetic, although the percentage is very low and it’s not an intracavitary (cranial, thoracic or abdominal) surgery requires a soft anesthetic and because it is done in patients with good health conditions.
